Scaffolding Across Multiple Sessions

Scaffolding is important vocabulary often discussed in curriculum design. The beginning of this meeting could build a shared definition, followed by group discussion (4-6 educators recommended) pertinent to past experiences with curricula, and then pairs (co-teaching partners) could work to identify their specific learning goals for their students and how to scaffold that content across weeks.

Large group prompt: What is scaffolding?
Small group discussion: What are examples of knowledge or skills you worked to scaffold in past curriculum design? How did you do so?
Pair discussion: What knowledge and skills are learning goals in your curriculum? How will you scaffold this content across multiple sessions?
