Individual students plan ideas and build separately, but get feedback from partners in their notebooks on their design and its feasible “buildability,” offering suggestions for improvement along with praise. Students will first have to be taught what productive and respectful feedback looks like, as well as come to a communal understanding of characteristics of successful engineering designs.
