Peer feedback could also take the form of projecting a student’s notebook with a plan onto a screen and having the whole class offer comments, praise, and suggestions. It is important that a class that does this has built up norms of trust, a shared understanding of plans, and plenty of experience with giving and receiving feedback. Perhaps an activity like this is best to do at the end of a year when the students are more comfortable with their engineering skills.
