Facilitators model creating engineering plans for a design challenge. But, it is essential to demonstrate a diversity of encouraged means of planning. It may also be worthwhile to use learner exemplars of engineering planning as models for the group, but once again, a diversity of means of planning must be represented, and disproportionate value placed on artistic/drawing skills and neatness is to be avoided.
